Compare Cocoa, Tea, and Cinnamon Smart Doll bust options to find the right fit and style for your doll. Includes decision rules for medium bust, median sternotomy, and XDD busts.
Quick answer
Choose a bust option based on the color and silhouette you want for your Smart Doll. Cocoa and Tea are standard bust hues, while Cinnamon is used for the above-elbow limb difference set.
Color and Compatibility
Smart Doll busts are sold as separate option parts, so color matching with your doll's body is essential. Cocoa and Tea are common base tones, but the exact shade can vary. If you already own a doll in one of these colors, a matching bust part will blend seamlessly.
The Cinnamon color is specifically associated with the Above-Elbow Limb Difference Set. If you’re building a Victor-based character or need that particular limb option, Cinnamon is the color you’ll work with. It may not match other standard skin tones.
Size and Silhouette Differences
Not all bust options have the same shape. The Medium Bust Option Part offers a standard, balanced profile, while the Median Sternotomy Bust has a surgical scar detail that changes the look and may appeal to realistic or medical-themed customs. The XDD Bust is more stylized and proportioned differently from classic Smart Doll bodies.
Consider what overall effect you want: natural and subtle, detailed and lifelike, or more anime-inspired. Each bust type changes how clothes fit and how the doll is posed from the shoulders up.
Decision Rules for Selecting a Bust Option
- Color match first: Identify the exact color of your doll's body and choose a bust in the same color (Cocoa, Tea, or Cinnamon) to avoid tone mismatches.
- Decide on silhouette: Medium Bust gives a standard shape; Median Sternotomy Bust has a scar detail; XDD Bust has a different proportion. Pick according to the realism or style you want.
- Check compatibility: Ensure the bust option is listed for your doll's body type. All listed busts are option parts but may not fit every body; consult your doll's documentation. If unsure about fit, start with a known matching body type or ask the store for confirmation.
